Apocryphal stories about Jesus
We know the story of Jesus’ birth and then stories about his adulthood and death. The Bible doesn’t tell us much about the time in between. The Apocrypha tells us some stories about Jesus as a boy who perhaps got into a little mischief before he grew up to be a wonderful teacher. Even Jesus needed help growing up.

Young Buddha
There are stories about special children in many different religious traditions. Buddha grew up in a wealthy family who wanted to protect him. They didn’t want him to know that anyone in the world was poor, hungry, or sick. They wanted him to be happy forever. He was curious about what was outside the tall walls of his family’s yard. He escaped over the walls and went to find out. He saw many sad things and wasn’t happy forever, but he grew up to be a teacher and to help make a world where people live in peace and harmony.
